Chuck Nilosek has been a life long media outsider who has reached many levels of success in TV, Film, Radio and Print. As media began to change and evolve, Nilosek saw the opportunity that the BIG media companies failed to see or were too complacent to even care. As a painter wants thier art displayed, so do video producers. As a musician wants a venue to let their music be heard, so do we. So we decided to create the museum, venue or display case that both fits the consumer behaviors of the modern person AND allows for greater reach thanks to global streaming.
Originally, our goals were to build the Minimal Viable Product that showed we had an addres or footprint in the OTT Digital streaming comminuty. This included App development on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire Sticks, LG Devices, Samsung Devices and mobile devices like iOS and Android. Then we created 24/7 liner RSS Feeds that went out to 2 FAST Networks (Free Ad Supported Television) which both created a revenue stream but also assisted in brand awareness across a massive platforms like Local Now and Distro TV. Eventually we want our linear feed to be carried by many more FAST Netowrks, but our limited staff and internal support is not ready.
We then proved that we could pull off many LIVE STREAM EVENTS such as The America’s Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration, The Cape League Hall of Fame Induction Ceremoneis, and weekly live music shows from our Downtown Boston Location. These events typically had hundreds of thousands of viewers both LIVE and then ongoing once a VOD file was created. Much of this success was accomplished organically and without ANY marketing budget. We received global media attention with some of these events as a result of the creativity and public value.
PRTV has always been about service and representation of underserved groups and ideas. Even to our financial detriment, we have offered production and attention to those in need when the argument could be made that the company and people involved were worse off than the cause. We do not want to be limited by financial means in our ability to cover charities, groups and individuals who are doing amazing and impactful things. Whether or not subject matter we cover makes money or not (For profit or non profit) we want to tell their story in as meaningful of a way as possible. Our commitment is to “infotain”. This is our made up word in which we want to “entertain” our viewers as their attentios are being pulled in an unlimited amount of directions, yet “inform” them so they are better off or more educated at the same time.
